Hey y’all! It’s Alice from the Onyx team. Today I’ll be explaining what’ll be going on with Onyx and its future. What’s Onyx Interactive?We’re now known as Onyx Interactive. Our primary focus is still providing a good Minecraft experience for all of you but in the future expect some non-Minecraft services by us like games, videos and podcasts. Below are some new features coming to Onyx SE: Developmental Rifts:These are limited time portals to other Minecraft worlds some new and others thought forgotten.These can also house minigame worlds or have their own mini challenges to grant rewards, Sometimes you’ll even be able to keep your stuff while other times you have to start from scratch. Expect these to start appearing later this month. New Quests Family Secrets:Talk to Anne to start a new quest line and uncover the secrets of a forgotten family past. Completing this quest will grant you Onyx Coins and a special bonus reward. Harold the Mayor:Help Harold build a city hall to start a proper town. Once 5 people complete this quest a mini event will be taking place a few weeks after. Onyx WeeklyOur very own podcast to give you some insight into projects we’re working on or some real-world commentary. Other Developments Gobbo VideoWhat’s a Gobbo you may ask? It’s a video sharing platform in development by z3me. The goal of Gobbo is to provide a less corporate feeling and freer video platform where you aren’t put under heavy data collection or have to fight an algorithm. It’s basically run by the people for the people so to speak. Learn more about that project here.
